Adult education

Adult education is education people participate in once they have left mainstream education (i.e. full-time secondary education and subsequent higher education programmes before entering the labour market).

Participation in adult education is determined by the criterion of whether someone was in some form of non-mainstream education or had done a course in the four weeks preceding the interview.
