Child abuse, consultations as a result of first contacts

Number of consultations provided by the Child Abuse Reporting Agency (AMK) following a first contact concerning abuse of a child or children (aged 0-17 years).

The AMK provides consultations with the person reporting a suspected case of child abuse. A consultation comprises several instances of contact – concerning the same child or family – between the AMK and persons reporting child abuse.

The National Youth Monitor presents both the number of consultations and the number of children concerned.

Data available from 2002.
