Children referred to the Halt scheme

The number of children (12-17 years) referred to the Halt scheme.

Halt is a scheme intended to offer first offenders a possibility to rectify their offence. The Halt procedure is not preceded by a judge’s verdict and is therefore not a penalty in legal terms. The duration of an imposed sanction may be between 2 and 20 hours, and the sanction may consist of community service, an educational measure, making an apology, and/or a claim settlement.
