Diplomas: senior secondary vocational education (mbo) level 1 (assistant training)

The total number of young people (aged 12-24 years) awarded a diploma after passing final exams senior secondary vocational education (mbo) at level 1 (assistant training).

The data published on students in senior secondary vocational education are based on annual enumerations by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.

Senior secondary vocational education comprises a school-based track (bol) (full-time and part-time courses) and an apprenticeship-based track (bbl).

The data refer to school years. 2005 is school year 2005/'06. The figures on passes refer to the situation at the end of the school year.

All figures are rounded to the nearest 10. As a result of rounding total figures may not exactly equal the sum of the separate figures.

As no information is available on the age of students in senior secondary vocational education up to and including  school year 2004/'05, figures on exam passes are only available from school year 2005/'06.
