Participation in mainstream education

The total number of young people in mainstream education.

This indicator does not include the vmbo sections of agricultural schools in school years 2003/'04, 2004/'05 and 2005/'06. These sections are included from 2006/'07. Figures on ethnic background do not include special needs education, practical education and primary education.

This indicator gives both absolute numbers and percentages of the total number of young people aged 0-24 years.

The data refer to school years. 2005 is school year 2005/'06.

All figures are rounded to the nearest 10. As a result of rounding total figures may not exactly equal the sum of the separate figures.
