Participation in special schools for secondary education

Number or percentage of young people (aged 0-24 years) who attend a special school for secondary education covered by legislation on expertise centres.
These schools include all special needs secondary schools not covered by the act on secondary education.

The figures on children in special needs education are based on the yearly (1 October) enumerations by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. The figures for school year 2004/'05 refer to the situation on 1 October 2004.

All figures are rounded to the nearest 10. As a result of rounding total figures may not exactly equal the sum of the separate figures.
